I suspect what s/he was really asking is this: do liberals — who are generally advocates of feminism — find it problematic that extremists like Andrea Dworkin undermine their attempts to champion feminism when too many people derail the discussion by associating her brand of radfem with feminism in general?

To that I say not really. People who consistently hijack the conversations by pointing to caricatures and extremists as “representative” of a broad ideology have an agenda and reasoning with them isn’t worth your time.
